Bihar Board exam 2027: Matric and Inter, class by class

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) holds the Matric (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams every February, usually before any other board. The 2027 papers keep the pattern that makes Bihar Board different: half of every theory paper is objective, answered on an OMR sheet, and half is subjective. Pick your class for the chapter list, pattern and practice in Hindi and English.

What the paper looks like

In Bihar Board Matric and Inter papers, roughly half the theory marks are objective. More questions are printed than you need to attempt, for example 80 printed and 40 to be answered in a 100-mark paper, or 70 printed and 35 to be answered in a 70-mark paper. The other half is subjective: short-answer questions of 2 marks and long-answer questions of 5 marks, with internal choice.

Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology typically carry 70 or 80 marks of theory plus practical marks; Mathematics, Hindi, English, Social Science and Sanskrit are 100-mark theory papers. The exam lasts 3 hours 15 minutes, the first 15 minutes being cool-off time for reading the paper.

The syllabus follows NCERT-based textbooks published by the board, so chapter names here match the NCERT contents. Bihar Board also publishes model papers and the answer key after each exam on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in; use the latest model paper to confirm the number of questions in each section.
